Education Freedom Account (EFA) Funds

Students may pay for horsemanship lessons at 180 Ranch using Education Freedom Account (EFA) funds. If paying with EFA funds, students must agree to the following:

Lesson Pricing & Payment

EFA funded lessons are $75 for one hour of private instruction and $60 an hour per rider for group instruction. Lessons must be paid for in sessions. Private lessons are $1125 per rider per session. Group lessons are $900 per rider per session.

Fall session

  • 1st week of September – 3rd week of December
  • no lessons during week of Thanksgiving

Spring Session

  • 3rd week of January – 1st week of May
  • no lessons during Spring Break

Summer Session

  • 2nd week of May – 3rd week of August
  • No lessons during week of summer camp

Attendance

EFA funded students are expected to attend lessons weekly. If inclement weather prevents students from riding, an unmounted lesson will take place. If inclement weather prevents students from traveling to 180 Ranch for an unmounted lesson, a virtual lesson or independent study activity will take place instead.

Refund Policy

No refunds are given for EFA funded lessons missed for any reason. If a student misses due to illness, time conflict, or any other reason, an independent study activity may be completed to make up for the missed lesson.
