In this four-week, entry-level course for ages 16 and up, you will learn basic horse care, safe horse handling, parts of the western saddle and bridle, tacking up, and more. Most of the lessons will be on the ground with some riding for a total of 6 hours of instruction.
Class meets 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM on the following dates:
- Saturday, October 5
- Saturday, October 12
- Saturday, October 19
- Saturday, October 26
In the fourth and final class, you will take a written test and a riding test for the opportunity to earn a Certified Horsemanship Association level 1 certificate of completion.
The cost to participate is $200. Please note: No refunds after September 21.
